New Reborn Monkey Kit

I have good news, my OOAK Chimpanzee Sally, is going to be made into a reborn monkey kit available from Simply Reborn as part of there Ruby Hues kits range. I'm not sure yet when she will be available but I think it could be some time this month.

Peek a Boo Orangutan Reborn

Sorry it's been a while since I posted, anyway I thought I would show you my ltest monkey. This time it's a reborn chimp created from the Peek a Boo kit. The kit comes with a vinyl head, hands and feet. The body, arms and legs are made from fake fur which has been jointed at the arms and legs with teddy bear joints.

I have used 4 different shades of mohair to match up with the fur body and rooted each hair individually using a 42g felting needle, this took many hours to do but I'm sure you'll agree was well worth it.

Here's my new monkey, I have called her Mi'Mi she is made from Polymer Clay without the use of any moulds. Mi' Mi will be around 16" when she is finished. She has hand painted glass eyes and brown and black rooted hair. She has been painted with genesis heat set paints. Mi Mi has 3/4 length arms and legs.


Mi'Mi now has a new head which fits her limbs better
